The Har El Men’s Club was established to promote and develop activities, programs and lectures of particular interest to the men of the Har El community as well as to foster support of appropriate social causes.
Who are we and what do we do?
We are made up of men over the age of 13.
We encourage each potential member to become involved in some form with the Har El community and so promote a stronger and more diverse Jewish presence on the North Shore.
How do we do this?
The Men’s Club organizes social functions, recreational activities and community interactions.
We are always open to new ideas, suggestions and people. Some of the activities undertaken and/or planned include:
- Regular Men’s Club social dinners
- Meeting and ushering at High Holy Days
- Men’s Club Shabbat Services: We would lead the Friday services and the Saturday Torah Service.
- Walking, hiking and biking groups.
- Sponsor sports equipment for the youngsters in the community.
- Sponsor an annual salmon fry release into Brothers Creek by the Bar/Bat Mitzvah class.
- Organize a salmon barbeque at the Shul in the fall.
If you have already been to some of our functions, please join us again! If you are a Jewish man over the age of 13 and would like to participate, please contact us through the synagogue office for details.
We look forward to you joining us at our future functions.
