We wel­come you to join us for any of our Shab­bat ser­vices. Fri­day night ser­vices are held at 6:00 pm. Sat­ur­day morn­ing ser­vices are held at 9:30 am. Our syn­a­gogue is wheel­chair acces­si­ble. Direc­tions and a map.

The Rabbi will be away study­ing at the Insti­tute for Jew­ish Spir­i­tu­al­ity until Fri­day.  Wednesday’s Not for Seniors Only /​ Lunch & Learn class has been can­celled.  If you need any assis­tance please con­tact the office or check the Rabbi’s voice­mail for fur­ther info by call­ing him at the shul or his home study.

THIS FRIDAY, JANUARY 27^th — start­ing at 6pm…

Join us for a short family-​​friendly Fri­day night ser­vice, imme­di­ately fol­lowed by a potluck din­ner in the upper social hall!  This is a great oppor­tu­nity to join with your fel­low Har Elians and the Rabbi in sup­port­ing our children’s tefilot learn­ing.  There’s $5 cost per per­son, or $10 per fam­ily, to cover grape juice and challah.

To keep Har El’s Kitchen strictly Kosher, we will not be using any dishes, glass­ware, cups, sil­ver­ware or serv­ing uten­sils from the kitchen.  Please bring what you need to serve your dish and to plate your own food.

Har El has been for­tu­nate to receive a grant to cre­ate a series of work­shops to sup­port our inter­faith com­mu­nity.  We would like your help with our plan­ning the work­shops to bet­ter under­stand what peo­ple would want to get out of this series.  Please join Rabbi Shmuel and the Inter­faith Work­shop Plan­ning Com­mit­tee at Har El on Sun­day, Jan­u­ary 29, from 10am to 11:50am for a com­pli­men­tary brunch with free child-​​minding.  We want to hear your thoughts on the issues fac­ing inter­faith fam­i­lies and your ideas on what our work­shop should address.

Some top­ics that have been dis­cussed in sim­i­lar forums include:  How to include part­ners in rit­u­als?  Does the fam­ily need to choose one reli­gion?  Which hol­i­days to cel­e­brate?  Fam­ily pres­sure /​ accep­tance?  Life event cel­e­bra­tions?  (Bris, Bar/​Bat Mitz­vah, Mar­riage, Funeral) How do our chil­dren iden­tify them­selves religiously?
